Dan Penn is considered one of the greatest American songwriters in Rhythm & blues and Country. This Alabama native was associated with some of the greatest southern soul recording studios in the ’60s and ’70s. And we talk about how he wrote some of his hits and bring it up to date with talk about how his career resurgence has come about.
