Randy Johnston reflects on Larry Coryell, March 8

By Folk Department

Guitarist Randy Johnston will swing by WTJU this Wednesday night, March 8, between 9 and 11 (est) to share some of his favorite Larry Coryell recordings.  Coryell, who died February 20th at the age of 73, was known as the “Godfather of Fusion”, and was a master of many different styles of jazz guitar.  Coryell was a close friend and mentor to Randy Johnston, who got to know him while living in New York City. Randy will play selections from some of Coryell’s greatest recordings.
