Local musician Caleb Saint will join Michael on Something New this Wednesday afternoon at 5. Caleb will chat about his newly released LP Don’t Know Jack. If we are lucky, Michael might even share a few tracks from the album. Something New airs each Wednesday afternoon from 4-7 (eastern) at 91.1FM and streaming at wtju.net as well as on the WTJU app.

Caleb Saint writes songs the way a seasoned traveler collects postcards: each one personal, vivid, and meant to be shared. Rooted in folk and acoustic pop, his music balances intimacy with accessibility, pairing heartfelt lyricism with melodies that linger long after the final chord. Based in Charlottesville, Virginia, Saint draws inspiration from everyday encounters and quiet moments, transforming them into songs about love, hope, and the connective tissue that binds people together. There’s a sincerity at the core of his work that feels less like performance and more like conversation.

That sense of connection carries through to the stage, where Saint is as comfortable commanding crowds of over 5,000 as he is holding court in the close quarters of a brewery or restaurant. Having performed across the United States and Germany, he brings a lived-in confidence to his shows, shaped by years of writing, collaboration, and highly diverse audiences. One of the most distinct qualities of his work is just how broad the appeal is, drawing in the young and old, men and women, the pop-only fan or the lover of many music genres. For Saint, music is both craft and community—a belief that a well-timed chorus can uplift a room, heal a moment, or quietly change someone’s day.

He lives in Charlottesville, Virginia with his wife and two children. The surname Saint is a pseudonym for the stage, and is his mother’s maiden name. His given name is Caleb Einwechter.
