A discussion of Donald Fagen’s “The Nightfly”

Andrew Kahrl will be speaking with author and historian Josh Mound on the week’s Ye Olde Tuesday Afternoon Rocke Show about his essay in Audiophile Style on Donald Fagen‘s 1982 album The Nightfly, considered one of the best sound recordings of all time by audiophiles. They will also be listening to selections from the album.

Josh Mound holds a PhD in history and sociology from the University of Michigan. His writing on politics and policy has appeared in Jacobin, New Republic, Dissent, and the Journal of Policy History, among other outlets. He’s also a regular contributor to Audiophile Style, where he writes about music and audio.
