    Notes: Night Teacher = poet and singer-songwriter Lilly Bechtel and multi-instrumentalist and producer Matt Wyatt out of Charlottesville. Since the release of their debut record, the duo has been featured on NPR among other accolades.

    Notes: Sparsely produced, gut-spilling Melbourne singer-songwriter with underdog themes. Also a visual artist focused on the erotic and grotesque.

    Notes: Richmond, VA jangle pop. Self-titled album (first ever full-length!) coming out in May.

    Notes: Capron's music originated more than a decade ago in sound production for theater. Based in Charlottesville, Capron is "self-taught, working mostly with an antiquated version of Garageband, and various broken things."

    Notes: Philadelphia-based DIY dreampop/shoegaze act. The BandCamp synopsis describes it as "an alternative rock painting" with "bleeding, weeping guitar", and I think that's about right.
