The Jazz Messenger celebrates Miles Davis

This Friday on The Jazz Messenger show, Brian Keena welcomes guest host Charlie Curtis back to the studio for the beginning of a series of programs highlighting the music of trumpeter and bandleader Miles Davis.
This Friday’s show will feature his earliest 1946 recordings with Charlie Parker’s Reboppers, his 1949-1950 recording project with west coast musicians known as Birth of the Cool, as well as his hard bop sessions with Sonny Rollins and Horace Silver in the early 1950s.
