When the world feels chaotic, music is still here to provide comfort. The spirited sounds of WTJU can bring your life a sense of respite and joy that so many of us need right now.

On WTJU, more than 100 community hosts – your friends and neighbors – share all kinds of music you never knew you loved. WTJU transports you to a grand classical music hall… a cozy jazz club… a rock show in a converted warehouse… an acoustic session around a campfire. WTJU even brings you 100 live concert performances per year from our own stage on Ivy Road.

WTJU is an essential local resource that connects you to Charlottesville’s music-loving community. But filling the air with great music isn’t free. Supporting this community radio station is a vital cause.

Please sustain the sound of WTJU. Make an online donation today.

When federal funding for public media disappeared last year, our community came through to avert an immediate crisis. But the challenges are not over — this loss of funding will affect WTJU every year moving forward.

When we all come together, we support free access to WTJU’s playlists, hand-curated by passionate, knowledgeable hosts.

When we all come together, we collectively experience transcendence through good music.

When we all come together, we feel a sense of belonging and nourishment from our community.

The end of WTJU’s fiscal year is approaching fast, and now is the time when your support is crucial. You can continue to count on WTJU for great songs, live performances, new discoveries, unexpected surprises, and enlightening connections. I hope we can count on you to sustain the sound of WTJU, keeping this radio station alive and thriving.
