   Notes: "Amsterdam's finest Turkish psych revivalists" (Pitchfork) announces Garip (pron. Gah-ree-p), their sixth album out February 20 on ATO Records. Lead single "Neredesin Sen" (pron. NEH-reh-deh-sin SEN) is a swirling motorik interpretation of a Turkish folk classic, injected with a hint of Queens of the Stone Age's lysergic edge.
10. "In Search of Yang" - Yin Yin - YATTA! [Glitterbeat: 2026]
    Notes: The group's origins lie in an experimental jam session in a remote village ballet school in 2017, leading to the release of the single, 'Dion Ysiusk,' the following year. The debut album, The Rabbit That Hunts Tigers was released in 2019, followed by The Age of Aquarius in 2022. After a few personnel changes, the quartet's line-up had, by 2023, arrived at its current form of Kees Berkers (drums), Remy Scheren (bass), Jerôme Scheren (keyboards) and Erik Bandt (guitar). 2024 saw the release of Mount Matsu, now followed by the group's most complete statement to date, Yatta!

    Notes: Founded in 2012, Tuuletar is known for their virtuosic, acrobatic vocal style and bold artistic vision. Drawing inspiration from Finno-Ugric and Nordic folk traditions, the group creates a unique sound world where ancient heritage meets global influences, contemporary expression and modern production.
12. "Sagherat Assani (feat. Sulafa Elyas)" - Tinariwen - Hoggar [Wedge: 2026]
    Notes: Over 45 years into their storied career, Tuareg musical pioneers and Grammy-winners Tinariwen are returning to their roots with their new album Hoggar out now via Wedge. Fierce advocates for their people's nomadic culture that exists in the desert borderlands between Mali and Algeria, Tinariwen's bluesy, guitar-driven music has found global acclaim for its lively blend of Tamasheq-language politicism, syncopated rhythms and soaring melody.
13. "Nobody Told Me" - Murat Evgin - single [Milan Records: 2026]
    Notes: Milan Records releases the first of new music from Apple TV's highly anticipated drama PLURIBUS, the new science fiction series from Breaking Bad creator and Better Call Saul co-creator Vince Gilligan. It includes this original cover by Turkish singer MURAT EVGIN of 'Nobody Told Me', written by John Lennon.

    Notes: Naive Melodies is a bold and visionary tribute to the music of Talking Heads, reinterpreted through the lens of Black musical innovation. Curated by Drew McFadden - the creative mind behind BBE's acclaimed Modern Love (David Bowie tribute album) - and featuring incredible artists like Aja Monet, Liv.e, Bilal, Georgia Anne Muldrow, W.I.T.C.H. (We Intend to Cause Havoc), Theo Croker & Theophilius London, Wu-Lu, Rogê, Vicky Farewell, Pachyman, Miguel Atwood-Ferguson, Astrønne, and more - the project is far from a conventional tribute.

    Notes: Recorded at Real World Studios and produced by Sarathy Korwar and Dave Rodriguez, %u201CPrithibi%u201D is the new single from Australian and West Bengali collective, The Three Seas. Translating from Bengali as "The World", 'Prithibi' is a beloved, iconic Bengali anthem, originally composed and sung by Gautam Chattopadhyay, father of The Three Seas drummer Gaurab 'Gaboo' Chatterjee - an influential pioneer of the folk fusion movement in India in the 60s and 70s.

    Notes: On the new single 'Come', Lamisi's powerful, soulful voice bridges traditional northern Ghanaian rhythms with contemporary sounds. Her new album celebrates women's clapping traditions from northern Ghana while championing female empowerment and social change.
