David and Tabitha Benedict, the core members of and driving force behind The Foreign Landers, will stop by WTJU this Friday afternoon to go track-by-track through their brand new album, ‘Made to Wonder’, which has its official release that same day. All songs on the album were composed by David (Mile Twelve, Missy Raines) on mandolin and octave mandolin, and Tabitha (the UK’s Midnight Skyracer and Cup O’ Joe) on 3 finger and clawhammer banjos and guitar), accompanied by long time band members Nate Sabat (Mile Twelve, Aerialists) on upright bass, and Julian Pinelli (Peter Rowan) on fiddle, with guest appearances by Kris Drever (Lau), Brian Finnegan (Flook), Tristan Clarridge (Crooked Still), and Nick Cooke (Kate Rusby). Expect insights into their composing and arranging skills, the life of a transatlantic couple (Tabitha is from Northern Ireland), settling into their new life in South Carolina with their little girl and more.
Sunset Road airs Friday afternoon from 4-6 (eastern) at 91.1FM and online at wtju.net.
