WXTJ Presents: An Art Show – Submissions needed!
WXTJ, Uva’s Student-run station is hosting an art show on December 5th, 5pm. This art show is a fundraiser to help WXTJ purchase a professional PA system that will serve the local community. This PA system will also be available to lend out to ANYONE who would like to host their own events. Over the past few months, WXTJ has been building a baby DIY scene on Gordon Ave. Help take the Charlottesville music community to a whole new level.
We need your submissions! The show’s theme is free-form (just like our music) – that means any genre, any subject matter.
You DO NOT have to be a student or UVA-affiliated to submit. This is open to the public.
Submission is rolling. Final deadline to submit an image of a finished piece is Monday, November 30th.
At this art show, all of the works will be sold and all of the revenue will be split 50-50 between artist and WXTJ’s PA system fundraiser. If the fundraising goal is successfully reached, WXTJ will redistribute any surplus money back to the artists.
