On Radio Tropicale, we use music to explore cultures across the world. But we have also done special shows focusing on topics outside of music. On Sept 8 at noon Radio Tropicale will focus on the end of Ramadan, the Muslim month of prayer and fasting, which comes later in the week. This show will be about the celebratory feast, Eid al Fitr, that ends it. There will be guests from both the University and local communities talking about the Eid as they knew it growing up, and what it is like for Muslims here in the US.
