Remember your first time on the air? Cue up the record. Go. Cue up another record. Go. Time for a back-announce. "Uh, um, uh."  Hit play.  You got through it. You are a DJ.

Playing music, talking about music, hearing other DJs play music you never knew about and falling in love with it. Feeling the music. Music that sets you apart, and sets WTJU apart.

A station where passion for music makes a powerful community.  A station that is still going strong. A station that has survived when so many other college radio stations have disappeared. A station that remains independent, that still rejects mainstream radio formatting and playlisting. A station that continues to put a premium on creative expression and exceptional music.

You may have moved away, but this is still your place. Join us to celebrate WTJU as the station turns 55.
