Cleek Schrey, Stuart Jackson and Jeremy Bass will stop by WTJU this Friday, July 19, for a visit with Sunset Road host Pete Marshall. They will be performing the following night, July 20, at The Haven in downtown Charlottesville a program of works by J.S. Bach, Luis de Milan, Elliott Carter, and Walter Zimmerman, solo percussion music by Iannis Xenakis, chamber music by John Cage and Morton Feldman.

They will play a unique version of John Cage's Ryoanji, performed on percussion, uilleann pipes, and 10-string hardanger fiddle, and also a brand new 'Circus' piece, written for the Haven,  that includes numerous members of the Charlottesville community, including the Rivanna Harmony shape note singers, musical robots, and other participants

Stuart and Cleek will also offer some of their improvisations for hardanger and prepared piano.  Troy Rogers of Expressive Machines will present a solo work for robot!
