2012 CLASSICAL MARATHON & FUNDRAISER
A MUSICAL OFFERING
December 3-9

During this holiday season, WTJU-FM will once again offer you beautiful classical music and the opportunity to support compelling, high-quality radio programming found nowhere else in our region.

WTJU’s 2012 Classical Music Marathon airs on 91.1 FM from December 3-9. Our volunteer classical announcers will be at their creative best as they delight you with some of the world’s finest music—from early treasures to modern masterworks, from solo instrumental pieces to great symphonies, from a cappella motets to Wagner’s Tristan and Isolde. You deserve nothing less from WTJU, which is on the air because of you.

This is the one time each year when WTJU’s classical department asks for your financial support. You can be sure that every dollar you provide will bring tangible improvements. This year, for example, WTJU was able to install a new transmitter that significantly increased our signal strength. We also purchased equipment that enables us to broadcast concerts live from area venues and to interview artists on location. Thanks so much for helping to make these things happen!

Your participation in the 2012 Classical Marathon will ensure that WTJU continues to thrive. Our fundraising goal is $40,000. Your tax-deductible gift of $120 pays for WTJU operations for three hours the length of your favorite morning classical programs. Call 434-924-3959 during the Marathon to make your gift, or make a secure donation online right now.

Please remember to join us December 3-9, and please help us make sure that the best classical programming in Central Virginia remains an integral part of your musical landscape. Enjoy the 2012 Marathon!
