7 Folk Marathon Concerts, and YOU are invited!
Live music is a big part of what the Folk Department brings us all year round, so why should this year’s Folk Marathon be any different? Seven days of live concerts are on the way, and you are invited to be at each and every one of them! To find out more about each concert, click on the respective link below. - Brian’s Hawaiians at Listening Room at Studio IX – Monday, 7-8 pm
- Latin Guitar Night at The Bebedero – Tuesday, 7-8 pm
- Red & The Romantics at Listening Room at Studio IX – Wednesday, 7-8 pm
- Take Two at Listening Room at Studio IX – Thursday, 7-8 pm
- The Marvelous Murphy Sisters at Listening Room at Studio IX – Friday, 7-8 pm
- Alligator at Music Resource Center (MRC) – Saturday, 2-4 pm
- Irish Jam at Listening Room at Studio IX – Sunday, 12-2 pm
There will be other live music from the WTJU studios throughout the week as well, including a number of Central Virginia’s finest musicians and singer/songwriters gathering Tuesday night (10 to midnight) for a Free Fallin’ Tribute to some of their favorite musicians who died in 2017 (including of course Tom Petty).
