"Join us in a sacred event dedicated to the 150,000 victims of the December 26th deadly tsunami and the millions of survivors whose lives have been forever torn apart"
says organizer Claudette Borgersen

(Charlottesville, Virginia, January 10, 2005) A spiritual dedication and fundraising event will be held from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. on Saturday, January 15 at the Downtown Healing and Creative Arts Center and The Attic in the Glass Building in downtown Charlottesville. Donations will benefit the International Red Cross.

Claudette Borgersen envisioned the event to bring the spiritual community of Charlottesville together for prayer and meditation for the tsunami survivors and to raise funds to assist their plight. Borgersen urges those who feel moved by the disaster to join together "because although this tragedy seems overwhelming, together we are powerful enough to make a difference.'

Borgersen says, "this event has come together in just a few days because individuals in the Charlottesville's spiritual community and healing arts professionals responded overwhelmingly."

Donations are encouraged but there is no charge for the events. This event is family friendly and Kindermusik instructor Dana Wassenaar will provide childcare. Candles will be available for those who wish to honor the lost. Kathleen Maier, AHG will provide healing Herbal Tea. Michelle Prosser of Energy Focus Coaching will donate a Life Purpose Coaching Session (valued at $250) for every $50 donation.
