Dec. 18 6 AM Classical Sunrise Deborah Murray Annual Christmas Show: During Deborah's annual Christmas show she will play Christmas carols and will feature Britten's "Ceremony of Carols", and Part 1 of J.S. Bach's Xmas oratorio. Deborah will do Part 2 during Classical Comfort on December 30 at 6:00 AM and the final section on December January 1 at 6:00 AM New Year's Day on Classical Sunrise.
Dec. 18 6 PM King of Instruments Michael Latsko Michael will feature carols and other Christmas favorites for the organ
Dec. 19 5 PM The Early Music Show Jenny Wyss-Jones Jenny will feature the Schuetz "Weihnachtshistorie" ("Xmas story")
Dec. 20 6 AM La Belle Musique Catherine Wray Catherine will present Rimsky-Korsakov's "Suite from 'Christmas Eve"
Dec. 25 6 PM King of Instruments Michael Latsko Michael wil feature organ and choral selections from the traditional and popular service of lessons & carols
Dec. 25 2 PM Sunday Opera Matinee Tim Snider Tim Snider presents a holiday special feature: Puccini's romantic and tuneful trio of contrasting operas, known as Il trittico: Il tabarro ("The Cloak"), Suor Angelica ("Sister Angelica"), and Gianni Schicchi, with three different, but superlative casts.
Dec. 27 6 AM La Belle Musique Catherine Wray Catherine will present "Amahl and the Night Visitors"
Dec. 27 7 PM A Time For Singing Ann Shaffer The 23rd annual Christmas Week broadcast by Ann Shaffer of Hansel and Gretel!
Dec. 30 6 AM Classical Comfort Deborah Murray (sitting in for Ilona) Deborah will feature Part 2 of J.S. Bach's Xmas oratorio begun on December 18
Dec. 31 6 AM Classical Sunrise Deborah Murray Deborah will feature the final section of J.S. Bach's Xmas Oratorio.
